OK - we couldn't resist Eric's challenge for more video footage from N. America!! This is a run from the AAC Nationals this past summer in Burnaby, B.C. This was a great fast flowing course that really allowed the big dogs to open up and fly! Many dogs were lost over the O.C. spread jump after the first pass through the straight tunnel - Piper took a good look at it too! We ended up in 2nd place on this run, just 0.21 secs behind Susan Garrett and Encore and a good 1 sec ahead of the 3rd place dog. For those of you who attended the AAC Nationals and ran this course - I hope that it brings back some good memories

Great course and very nice dog! Brilliant accelleration into the weaves! Your BC looks HUGE! He covers the ground fast with that long gait, is he as big as he looks?
I think you met my stepdad Stu Carter and my Mum Lu Carter at the IFCS this year?ÂÂ
Re: Piper's Standard Run #1 AAC Nationals 2006
Yes - Piper is a big boy and just under 22" at the shoulder. He only weighs about 45 LB though so he is still quite agile. I often refer to him as my 'Gumby Boy' and he has saved my skin on more than one occasion because of this!!
I did meet your Stuart and Lu. Piper just lost out to Storm by less than 2 points in the All Around competition for the maxi dogs. The Canadian team really enjoyed Stuart - his shorts in particular which I believe made their way to Canada at the end of the competition along with about half a bottle of cologne!! We were also very impressed with your Mom's Working Spaniel - what an awesome little dog!
In regards to the earlier question, 21 obstacles in a standard course would not be typical but will occur on occasion - especially at the Nationals where the judges are often even more creative than normal!!
regards, Sue
