In honor of the recently released sequel to a very popular movie. Judge Tammy Domico brought us Gamble Impossible at the DART USDAA Team Tournament held May 12, 06.
The key to the gamble was the out to jump #3. Almost all dogs took the tunnel or took jump #1 again.
Another interesting note, on the approach to the gamble, a lot of people took the far jump before #1, giving them a nice obvious line to #2. While the people who came in on a curve, the dogs tended to continue on that path into the tunnel. I think that is one of Newton's Laws of Thermodynamics.ÂÂ

Nice job Kathy and Windy
Kathy and Windy sure made that look easy! Nice job!!!
That is nasty! It seems that the time was very tight too.
Good one to practice.

Awesome Gamble!
Challenge
That was a great compilation of video, Eric! I'd love to set it up in league play. Is there any way to share the course map, scoring system & course times?
Also, I was wondering if anybody tried turning the dog to the right at jump #2 (not that it would be a "gimme" by any stretch)?
no course maps
I don't collect course maps. Maybe I should, since people are always asking for them. Guess I would need a scanner in that case. Maybe someone else has it and can upload it? I think the closing time was pretty tight, at about 11 seconds. You always go to Agility Video Service and watch some of the full runs to get an idea of the course layout.
I don't think anyone tried turning right. ÂÂ
