My Fleety Star having fun at Agility

agility gods looking over my shoulder

I entered Kiltie in her second NZKC champ show. We got clear in her first Starters round (weave's are not faulted in Starter's), the first time we haven't been Disqualified! Agility gods must have watching over my shoulder, the timer didn't work so we had to run a second time - for time only.

Awesome Sound!

Just got a brand new shotgun microphone. A shotgun microphone is a directional mic. It is super sensitive in the direction that it is pointed. I shot a test clip with the new mic first, then a clip with the on-camera mic. the difference is incredible. Play the clip to hear the difference.

Grand Prix - Push or Handle?

There was an interesting sequence in Tom Kula's Grand Prix course on Saturday at the SWAT USDAA trial in New Mexico, April 1-2, 2006. The sequence was 1) dogwalk, 2) jump, 3) jump, 4) jump, 5) Aframe. The main challenge of the sequence is that the dog's natural path would take them right past #4. So there were 2 choices on how to handle the sequence.

April Fool Gamble

April Fool Gamble - Tom KulaIt was April 1st, 2006 and Tom Kula made quite a gamble for the day. On the course maps it was a simple starters level gamble Surprised, with the #3 jump being the jump to the right of the actual #3 jump. People were pretty excited about it and also wondering what was "the catch". The catch ending up being a really tough gamble. Cry
