The Republicans have now written a law to make sure that George W. Bush will not be prosecuted for violations of habeas corpus in our overseas torture prisons and concentration camps. The fundamental tenants of the U.S. Constitution will not apply in our conduct abroad.

The Death of Mr. Clean
Submitted by Bud Houston on Fri, 09/15/2006 - 10:28am.Arthur Haggarty has passed this past June. He was known mostly as Captain Haggarty. I never did discover where this honorific came from. At one point he was involved in training military dogs. So perhaps he was in the military (I’d bet… the Army).

Politics
Submitted by Bud Houston on Thu, 08/10/2006 - 11:25am.How did we wind up with government for whom nothing good matters? The poor don’t matter; equality doesn’t matter; civil rights don’t matter; the Geneva Convention doesn’t matter; the environment doesn’t matter; education doesn’t matter; health care doesn’t matter; retired people don’t matter.

Introductions
Submitted by faelyana on Sun, 05/28/2006 - 6:08am.Howdy, all. I figured since I'm given a blog on this here site, I may as well put it to good use!
The name's Katherine, but everyone calls me Cat. I'm a junior handler living in Massachusetts and I currently am owned by one dog, an English Springer Spaniel named Tessie. She's my first dog and has been such an amazing learning experience. Together, we do agility, obedience, and showmanship, and we soon hope to branch out into freestyle. My high school has a Canine Science program, and this is my major. I hope to train dogs full time.

Intervention
Submitted by Bud Houston on Mon, 05/22/2006 - 5:21pm.In March of 2005 while driving home from somewhere, I forget where, I heard a broadcast on National Public Radio. This was a very exciting thing for me as the narrator described a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) called World of Warcraft!
