Scott Chamberlian, known for not being afraid of making the tough calls in the finals, continues to get the calls right. Here are two examples from Steeplechase Finals at this years (2006) USDAA Nationals.
In the first one, Spy left the Aframe several inches above the yellow. And everyone including me thought he missed it. But freeze play shows that the front left foot just hit the bottom of the Aframe. The case could be made that it was incidental contact. Anyways 1 point for the judge!ÂÂ

In the second close call, from the stands it looked like Mark Bowerman and Sybil made the contact. But on the freeze play, it looks like the foot was just above the yellow. Another point for the judge.

All in all the judging corp has done a great job. I particularly liked the European flavor some of the courses had this year. I expect that came from the judge from Holland. (too lazy to look up the name)
