Music that motivates - what do you listen to?

FlyGirls's picture

On my way to trials and training, I enjoy listening to music that "motivates" me.  I've compiled a couple of CD's of songs that I believe have the right beat, words, and music tracks to get me motivated to do well.  But, I'm always interested in learning about what motivates other folks.  If you wouldn't mind...... I'd like to add new tunes to my motivation music list.  Please list a few of the songs/groups that you find motivational for your agility training.

I'll start.....  some of the songs on my motivational music CD include:

"I Believe I Can Fly," by R. Kelly
"The Best," by Tina Turner (is there anyone cooler than her????)"
"Reach," by Gloria Estefan
"Walk this Way," Aerosmith

Yup, I tend to listen to less recent stuff.  That's why I need to branch out and add some newer tunes to my playlist!

Thanks,

FlyGirls

Music

Wow, that's such a personal choice, everyone should be able to contribute a few good ones.

My little girl's theme song is "Lets Get the Party Started" from Pink. While my hubby and his boy prefer "The House is Rockin" from Stevie Ray Vaughn. Not exactly new music, but...definitely gets you moving!

Rage against the machine

I'm kinda of a low key guy. So I need something extra powerful, like anything from Rage Against the Machine.

Music

Here are some songs I've listened to at past competitions. They really improve my mood, especially since I have to get up so early.

"Let's Get It Started" and "Pump It" by The Black Eyed Peas

"All Star" and "I'm a Believer" by Smash Mouth

"Life Is A Highway" (remake), "My Wish", "Love You Out Loud", "Stand", and "Mayberry" by Rascal Flatts

"Bad Reputation" by Film Dialogue

"Temperature" by Sean Paul

"Walk Away" by Kelly Clarkson

"If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)" by Rodney Atkins

"Everytime We Touch" by Cascada

"Who Said" by Hannah Montana

music that motivates

I'm currently listening to old Motown its snappy, positive and has great rythem,Marvin,4 Tops,Smokey,Al Green and many more. But I do throw in a Jimmy Buffet c/d from time to time.I just try to keep it positive.Rick

A man after my own heart!

Tessie does have her own mix(which starts, fittingly enough for a Bostonian, with "Tessie" by the Dropkick Murphys), but frequently I'm listening to RATM, Strata, Skindred, Trapt, Ignite, or Panic! at the Disco on my way to trials or training class.

Checked out the titles that you've all listed.  Many thanks, I found a few new tunes to load onto my next "motivational music" CD.
