Favorite Athletic Agility Wear?

What's your favorite agility athletic wear (pants, shoes, shirts, socks, boots... etc)?

Shoes: Custom made NIKE ID Trainers

Boots: LLBean

Shirts: Adidas Easy Breath mesh-like shirts... I think they are made by Cool Max

Nothing special with socks... I just by bags of Hanes at Wal-Mart and switch them out during the day at a trial... cheap and easy. I've heard rave reviews about Seal Skins, too.

Pants: I used to like the "swishy" pants, now they drive me nuts. Anything athletic but has to be breatable, again Addidas is my top choice.

Agility wear

Shoes:  Adidas trail (gortex for wet winter) and Adidas Supernova

Shirts:  Oversized t-shirts and long Cool Max shirts

Shorts:  My new favorite is quick try water shorts from REI.  Really light weight.

Socks:  Cool Max running socks.  Used to wear Thor-lo - but these are great all day socks!

Pants:  I too used to wear the "swishy" pants - but now like semi-loose fitting running pants by Hind (breathable).  Although - I prefer shorts (you know - the So. Calif thing - hate lots of clothes).  Always non constricting.

I would rather be very cold than run with layers on.  I remove all top layers for my runs then put back on after the run.  Even in the rain (rare here) - I'll remove coat and stuff as I feel too constricted.

favorite agility wear

Shoes:  Formerly Nike ACGs 3/4 top with neoprene collar to keep out the dirt.  These are discontinued.  Now I wear Keene sport sandals--- especially a sort of hiking shoe/sandal hybrid.  They are very stable side-to-side, unlike running shoes that were designed for forward-only motion.

Socks: Unimax ironman trialthalon, Foxriver hiking socks, Air-E-Ator by DeFeet biking socks--- all wool free and thin.  (And I pre treat my "hot spots" to prevent blisters-- I have stupidly thin skin on my heels and can get blisters no matter what kind of shoes I wear.)

Shirts:  Agility t-shirts with cartoons or sayings to remind me to stay light-hearted.  Layers if necessary of a light long-sleeved shirt, hoodie, and vest over the top if it gets really cold.

Pants: loose, lots of pockets for poop bags, cell phone, keys, wallet, sunscreen lip goo, pen, 3X5 card on which to write scores or volunteering reminder list.... nylon hiking pants with zip off legs, shorts or sometimes when it's cold jeans with some spandex in them.

Hat:  always (sun in Arizona), usually baseball with logos associated with agility or microbreweries.

The Hillbilly Method

SHOES: At my last outdoor trial, I ran barefoot and it was awesome! I could stay on my toes, make tighter turns and run faster overall. One of my friends called me a hillbilly, but who cares what you look like when your dog benefits from smoother handling? Next time, I might add a straw hat and corncob pipe!

SOCKS: See above.

SHIRTS: Lately, I've been wearing New Orleans-themed T-shirts. Guess I'm a little homesick. (I now live in the Midwest.)

PANTS: I prefer nylon pants because they feel lighter. Plus, those sporty stripes on the sides are all the rage.

HAIR: I usually wear a pony tail. Once, I let my hair down and showed a video of one of those runs to a friend. She was cracking up because I managed to execute a nice front cross while simultaneously tucking my hair behind my ears. I didn't even realize I did that until I watched the video. Guess I can't blame bad handling on lack of coordination anymore!
