ESPN Great Outdoor Games - Agility

Here is some interesting information on the latest news about what was the ESPN Great Outdoor Games.

Basically it sounds like ESPN is no longer the guiding force behind it.  Everything else is still to be determined. Except for that it will be an invitational and not affliated with any agility oraganization.

Hi Everyone!

It has been announced that the ESPN Great Outdoor Games has been cancelled for good:-(  While that is indeed sad news---there is great news on the horizon.

We are in the planning stages for an event to premiere in 2007 that will be similar to the GOG.  Since it is still in the planning stages and nothing has been decided as to exactly when it will be, I cannot give you a date yet---we have a conference call scheduled next week.

Since it is not run by ESPN, it will not be determined by ESPN who will compete and how many of each height will compete-that has yet to be determined.  The USDAA Championship program will not be the "guideline" as there are many dogs that are just over the height cutoff that are great dogs and I would love to see them on TV too:-)   There will be criteria and it will be an INVITATION ONLY event-but, that criteria has yet to be determined.

I can tell you that first and foremost in any consideration will be SPORTSMANSHIP--after that--THE SKY'S THE LIMIT!!!!!

Please stay tuned for more announcements--

I will follow up and make a formal announcement to the Agility World when we have solid details to share along with a date.
