To Err is Human...& Canine

I was thinking after class today (danger!).

Why do we handlers find it okay when we err while running our dogs, but if the dog makes a mistake, it's criminal?

You hear all the time a handler remark that their dog went off course because they (handler) got lost, called too late, kept their hand up, etc. Whatever the handler did wrong is explained away as human error. "He missed that because I did that wrong." Shrug. Then the handler goes off and eats a cupcake, sits down and enjoys the trial.

Wikipedia Agility - Not Fair and Balanced

I find it interesting that the Wikipedia Dog Agility section is controlled by one person. This is a person who edits out information other than what she wants them to see on this public, information website.

American Eskimo dog goes to AKC World Team Tryouts

I'm so excited that an American Eskimo dog has earned an invitation to the AKC World Team Tryouts this coming week.

I ran my Eskie for a bit in agility but we didn't start training until she was 9 1/2 yrs old.  She would have been very good if I knew of the sport when she was younger.
