It is useful for the dog to be familiar with the different sorts of hurdles in our game.

Reviewing Everything I Know about Teeter Fear
Submitted by Bud Houston on Tue, 12/26/2006 - 9:58am.I have a private lesson upcoming with a student whose dog demonstrates significant anxiety in the performance of the teeter. And so I’ve been rummaging through a chest of dog trainer stuff at the back of my mind just to go over what I think I know about this problem. Marsha’s take on it is that it might be a difficulty with the dog-trainer. I’ll come back to this idea later[1].

The Realization of a Dream
Submitted by Bud Houston on Thu, 12/14/2006 - 7:04am.My mother used to say be ready when opportunity knocks! I discovered relatively early in my life that opportunity knocks all the time. I've been awfully quiet

I was supposed to have this week off. The training center is shut down for the week because of the Thanksgiving Holiday, and I’ve had no seminar or judging commitments. However, I’ve been conscripted to be an emergency substitution judge for a TDAA trial in Medina Ohio this weekend. The scheduled judge, Doreen Lucius has a terrible neck injury and has been forbade to travel by her doctor.
