Public hammering of judges

So, there is a  rumor going around this morning that as a result of the very public hammering that Karen Gloor took for her teeter judging in the GP finals, she has resigned from the USDAA judging corps. It may or maynot be true. But it brings to mind my big objection to the practice of "just putting it out there" on the internet.

ASCA Agility

Has anyone here done ASCA agility lately, since the split with NADAC?  I promised my Flirt's breeder that I would endeavor to get Flirt's RS-O (Open Standard title) in pursuit of her mom's HOF designation from ASCA and so I have entered an ASCA trial in Ohio later this month. I better check the rules. It will be interesting. Fortunately it is daily dounle standard and gamblers and  1 run of jumpers each day. If my aframe holds up I could finish Flirt's Novice title that weekend and try another ASCA trial in the spring to get the open title.

USDAA Championships

Ok, most of you here at Agility Vision are lucky enough to be at Scottsdale. But for those of us who are not, I have to say how incredibly disappointing it is not to have the coverage of the event that we experienced last year.  Seems that results are going in on a day lag and the blogs are pretty uninformative. Ken's audio course analysis is a snore. I would rather hear something about how the course actually ran, rather than how Ken thinks it is going to run.

Taking a break

I've been a lurker on Agility Vision for a while, but I thought I would come out of hidiing and blog a little while I have the time.

Here in the NE, we've come to the end of our trialing season for a brief summer hiatus. It's coming at a good time. After 6 months on the DL with a bum ticker (subsequently repaired and working better than ever) we trialed for 2 months this spring and my old boy finished his PIII and my youngster completed her AAD. And I need a shrink.
