This is something new for me but I thought that I would try it...
In 13 days Piper and I will be setting off on our big adventure - on April 28th we climb aboard our flight to Hamilton where our destination is Say Yes and the last team practice before the AAC WT heads out to Holland for the IFCS World Agility Championships... I never thought that time could fly by so fast!!
Luckily I have been so busy with preparation for our own club's trial next weekend, the impending arrival of my mother next week from the UK (it has been 8 years since she was last here and, yes, within a week of her arrival I am leaving the country LOL!), and organising my son's 8th birthday party which will be held while I am away, that I have not really had the time to worry about the trip itself. Piper celebrated his 7th birthday earlier this week and is looking awesome, training is going well and his handler is doing her best to get over her cold before she climbs on that plane.
Tonight I attended the usual Saturday evening Twoonie nights fun match where we run tough European courses and push each other to go for the fastest time. Piper did well but I have to admit that the sweetest moment had to be when my 22 month old pre-starter dog also ran that course clean with a very competitive time. She debuts in a couple of starters gamblers runs next weekend and tonight I think that she showed me that she is ready...
I am really enjoying this website - the video clips are awesome and really good information. I also enjoy watching the interviews of some great handlers - some of which I hope to be lucky enough to meet in few couple of weeks.
Happy runs!
